The House of Pensions of Civil-law Notaries of Romania is an autonomous institution of public interest, with legal personality, its own budget and management bodies, operating under the authority of the National Union of Civil-law Notaries of Romania.
Established on 1st of January 2013, the House of Pensions performs its activity under the Law no 36/1995 of civil-law notaries and notarial activity, republished, under its own Statute, approved through the Resolution of the Council of the Union no 449/11.12.2012, and under its own Regulation of organization and operation, approved through the Resolution of the Council of the Union no 59 from 28.06.2013.
The House of Pensions of Civil-law Notaries of Romania is a specialized institution that administers and manages its own pension system and other social security rights of Romanian notaries.
The House of Pensions aims to fulfill the social mission for the insurance of social solidarity between Romanian notaries, by collecting contributions and providing social security benefits like pensions and financial aid to policy holders who have lost their professional income, as a result of the occurrence of insured risks. The House of Pensions has a non-profit purpose, performing its activity in the interest of the policyholders.
Likewise, the House of Pensions has as OBJECTVES the administration and management of its own system of pensions and other social security rights for the civil-law notaries from Romania, in order to ensure the social protection of civil-law notaries, in addition to the one ensured through the public system..
The civil-law notaries, members of the National Union of Civil-law Notaries of Romania, are, according to the law, necessarily ensured through their own system of pensions and other social security rights.
Under the conditions provided by the Statute and by the Regulation, the insured persons have the obligation to pay contributions and are entitled to social security benefits: old age pension, early retirement pension, invalidity pension, survivor’s benefit, financial aid for the retirement from the profession, death grant.
Through the Resolution no 60/28.06.2013, the Council of the Union approved the date of 1st of July 2013 as being the date since when civil-law notaries owe the monthly individual contribution to their own system of pensions.
The concrete way to be insured within the own system and to pay monthly individual contributions, but also the conditions to grant the categories of social benefits are detailed in the Regulation of organization and operation of the House of Pensions, approved through the Resolution of the Council of the Union no 59 from 28.06.2013.
